M Square Research Park

Our services were enlisted to solve a unique challenge facing the University of Maryland and its research park. Thee long passage between the two had no distinguishing signage letting you know which section you were in. Our assignment was to create a graphic theme to unify the entering and exiting experience. We conducted site surveys and reported on findings to provide ways to improve the long vehicular transition. We also provided an overall site wayfinding and graphics to help create a rhythm in language which reinforced the brand and helped to maintain a strong sense of place that can often times be easily lost. These areas included the M Square Research Park site, the River Rd /Paint Branch Pkwy, the Paint Branch Pkwy and 52nd Ave. entry, the Paint Branch Pkwy and Hwy 201, and at Hwy 201 to River Road as the main access to the site.
